Mike Gamble

Packaging Development Director at Drinkworks

Mike Gamble's work experience begins in 1994, where they worked as a Research and Development Manager at Reckitt & Colman. In this role, they were responsible for product development, packaging design, production processing, and quality systems implementation.

In 1995, Gamble joined The Coca-Cola Company as a Technical Manager for the GB and Ireland region. Mike managed product and package commercialization, supplier development, capacity planning, and operational change management. Mike also played a role in introducing non-carbonated beverages outside of the normal system.

Gamble then moved on to serve as the Operations Support Manager at the Coca-Cola Head Office in Atlanta from 1998 to 2000. In this role, they gained experience in demand and operations planning, as well as design and implementation.

From 2000 to 2003, Gamble worked as the Technical Director for the Nordic and Baltic Division at Coca-Cola. Mike provided leadership and direction for the Technical Department and supported the Coca-Cola system throughout the division.

Mike then transitioned to the role of Director Packaging and Equipment R&D (Europe) from 2003 to 2010, where they managed three teams of innovation professionals. Mike was responsible for developing packaging, retail equipment, and design innovation for the Coca-Cola European Union Group system.

In 2011, Gamble took on the position of Director Packaging and Equipment R&D (Asia Pacific). Mike managed two teams responsible for global and Pacific Group innovation projects in packaging and retail equipment development.

Finally, in 2017, Gamble joined Drinkworks as the Packaging Development Director.

Overall, Gamble has extensive experience in research and development, technical management, operations support, and packaging development within the beverage industry.

Mike Gamble's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University, a Bachelor of Science - BS in Chemistry and Microbiology from the University of Exeter, and an Msc in Food Science from the University of Leeds.
