Deb Menicos, Ph.D. (Débora Liabeuf) is the Global Director of Strawberry Breeding at Driscoll's, a position they have held since 2025. With a strong foundation in plant breeding, they previously earned a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science in Horticulture and Plant Breeding from Agrocampus Ouest. Their career includes internships focused on various aspects of plant research and breeding, including work with tomato and canola varieties, as well as experience in vegetable farming. Deb's passion for breeding has now led to their current involvement with one of their favorite fruits: strawberry.
