Canyon Boak

Canyon Boak has a diverse work experience in the field of product design, starting in 2006 and spanning multiple companies.

From 2023 to present, Boak worked at Drivemode as the Lead Product Designer. Prior to that, Boak was a Senior Product Designer at Shopify from 2021 to 2023.

Before Shopify, Boak worked at Pivotal Labs as a Staff Product Designer from 2016 to 2021.

From 2013 to 2016, Boak was with Revionics, first as a Lead UI/UX Designer and later as a UI/UX Design Engineer.

Boak's career began in 2007, where they worked independently on various design and development projects, including collaborating with Edify on their product MusiQuest.

Other early experiences include internships at SkuLoop from 2011 to 2012, Torque Interactive Media from 2009 to 2011, and Power of Two Online from 2006 to 2011.

Canyon Boak attended the University of Colorado at Boulder from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. During this time, Canyon studied several subjects including Linguistics, Anthropology, Japanese, and Russian. In 2012, Canyon also spent a semester studying at Kansai Gaidai University. Apart from their formal education, Canyon obtained the JLPT N1 certification from The Japan Foundation in July 2022.
