Vinu Thomas

Vinu Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Vinu currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Driven Technologies, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, Vinu worked in multiple startups from 2021, where they held the role of CxO/Investor/Advisor. In this capacity, they provided strategic guidance and support to founders and CEOs, focusing on strategy, business and product development, marketing, and customer success. Vinu also played a key role in raising funds through private equity sources, including a $33M Series A raise in 2021 and a $30M Series B raise in 2022.

Before their time in startups, Vinu held senior advisory and investor roles at Prosimo.io and Safe Security in 2021. Here, they continued to provide strategic guidance and hands-on support to executive teams through private equity raises and partnership development.

From 2011 to 2021, Vinu served as the Chief Technology Officer at Presidio, a sales and technology organization. In this role, they successfully grew profitability and revenue by 30% and improved service utilization times by 20%. Vinu also played a key role in transforming the company from a reseller to a Systems Integrator, with a focus on cloud, cybersecurity, and application modernization solutions. As CTO, Vinu guided and managed the company's IPO process in 2017.

Prior to their time at Presidio, Vinu held leadership positions at Sirius Computer Solutions, where they served as the VP of Security, Networking, and Voice Solutions from 2005 to 2011. During their tenure, they led the division's strategy, business development, engineering, marketing, and partnership activities. Vinu also founded and grew the security business, achieving $100M in annual revenues within three years.

Before their time at Sirius, Vinu founded and served as the CEO of Infospex, a cyber security consulting services firm, from 2003 to 2004. Here, they successfully established the company as a trusted player in the market, offering threat and vulnerability detection services.

Additionally, Vinu has served as a board member at Rutgers University's Center for Innovation Education from 2017 to 2020. In this role, they contributed as an industry expert and faculty member in delivering programs for technologists, innovators, and entrepreneurs.
