Jim Beck

Jim Beck has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Jim currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at DRMP, where they are responsible for operations and business development in multiple states. Jim is also a Senior Project Manager for infrastructure planning and design projects. Prior to their current role, Jim worked at DRMP as a Senior Project Manager and Southeast Area Leader, as well as a Project Engineer. Before joining DRMP, they worked as a Project Engineer at Lochrane Engineering. Jim also has experience in the military, having served as an Artillery Surveyor in the US Army, providing survey control for artillery gun batteries.

Jim Beck graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including the Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) certification from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure in January 2017. Jim is also a Certified Planner by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), a Professional Engineer certified by several state boards including Virginia DPOR Board, Georgia State Board, North Carolina Board, South Carolina State Board, and Florida Board of Professional Engineers. Their most recent certification was obtained in August 2012.
