Director Of Programming Talent Buyer at DROM

Mehmet Dede's work experience includes roles such as Director of Programming at DROM NYC, where they curated and organized performances by various national and international artists. They also co-founded and curated the NY Gypsy Festival. In addition, Mehmet Dede worked as a Tour Producer and Conference Speaker, producing North American tours for international acts and speaking at various global conferences and showcases. They have also held teaching positions at the University of Hartford and New York University, where they taught music and performing arts management courses. Mehmet Dede has contributed to various publications and has experience in event production and promotion at Giant Step and creative management at Universal Music Group. They will be joining BerkleeNYC as an Associate Professor in Live Music Production and Design.

Mehmet Dede obtained a Master's degree in Music Business from New York University between 1999 and 2001. In 2018 and 2019, they attended the Leadership Music program in Nashville to enhance their knowledge and skills in the music industry. Most recently, in 2021, they completed the Executive Program in Arts & Culture Strategy at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social Policy & Practice under the National Arts Strategies.
