Clayton Smith

Clayton Smith is a highly experienced VDC Field Technician and FAA Certified sUAS/UAV Operator with a career spanning various sectors, including construction, aerial photography, and insurance. Currently employed at Austin Commercial since February 2020, Clayton has completed over 2000 drone flights and operates advanced technologies such as the FARO Focus 3D laser scanner. As the owner of Smith Enterprises, a veteran-owned business, Clayton emphasizes safety and professionalism in providing aerial services for marketing, inspections, and agricultural applications. Additional roles include independent contractor positions with DroneBase and DroneHive, as well as a background in delivery and insurance adjusting. Clayton holds multiple certifications from Drone University USA and a Bachelor's Degree in Management and Organizational Development from Fresno Pacific University. Furthering professional development, Clayton is pursuing courses in Artificial Intelligence and has also trained in disaster preparedness and aerial cinematography.
