Corey also worked as a Deployable Planner for Joint Maritime Operations at US Joint Forces Command from December 2009 to November 2011, specializing in team problem solving and coordinating interagency planning efforts in Afghanistan.
Additionally, Corey served as Deputy Force Nuclear Propulsion Officer at Commander, Naval Air Forces Pacific from April 2008 to December 2009, where they provided oversight of multiple nuclear-powered aircraft carriers. Corey also served as Executive Officer on the USS CHANCELLORSVILLE (CG 62) from September 2006 to March 2008, responsible for all aspects of operations and administration on the ship.
Corey's earlier experience includes working as a Reactor Training Assistant on the USS HARRY S TRUMAN (CVN 75) from July 2004 to April 2006, achieving crew readiness and managing junior officer development. Corey began their career in the military as a Combat Engineer in the US Marine Corps from June 1992 to July 1993.
