Jonathan Lwowski

Jonathan Lwowski, Ph.D., has extensive experience in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Jonathan is currently working as the Lead AI/ML Engineer at DroneBase. Prior to this, they held the position of Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Kespry from January 2020 to August 2021. Jonathan also served as a Senior Data Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton from July 2019 to January 2020.

Before their roles in industry, Jonathan gained valuable experience in academia and research. Jonathan worked as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Plus One Robotics from May 2018 to June 2019. During their time at the Autonomous Control Engineering department at The University of Texas at San Antonio, they served as a Doctoral Research Assistant from May 2016 to May 2019. Jonathan also worked as a Summer Research Assistant at the Air Force Research Lab in Rome in 2017.

Jonathan's research journey began as a Research Assistant at the Unmanned Systems Lab at The University of Texas at San Antonio from January 2013 to May 2016. Jonathan also worked as a Research Assistant at the Air Force Research Lab and Research & Engineering Education Facility for a summer in 2015. Prior to that, they served as the UTSA Undergraduate Project Lead at the Department of Defence from January 2015 to April 2015.

Additionally, Jonathan gained research experience during their time as a Summer Research Assistant at the University of Southern California in 2014. In this role, they developed interfaces for a human-robot sheep herding game, fixed hardware problems on-board ground robots, and conducted human experiments to improve a speech recognition system.

Through their diverse work experiences, Jonathan has contributed to various aspects of artificial intelligence and machine learning, showcasing their expertise and dedication to the field.

Jonathan Lwowski, Ph.D., completed their education at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Jonathan obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from 2012 to 2016. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2016 to 2019.

In addition to their academic achievements, Jonathan Lwowski has also obtained several certifications. Jonathan completed the PMC Level I certification from the Pragmatic Institute in January 2022. Furthermore, they became an IBM Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner in March 2021 through a program offered by IBM. Additionally, they received training in the Responsible Conduct of Research from The University of Texas at San Antonio in June 2013.
