Jay Mulakala

Jay Mulakala has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jay began their career as a Co-Founder at SnoHassle, a bike storage and maintenance company, in 2013. After that, they worked as a Project Manager for Space for All - High Altitude Weather Balloon Missions in 2014. Later, they served as an Art Director & Web Developer at Yellow Box. in 2014. In the same year, they co-founded FreeSkies, where they focused on product development and won several awards for their drone-based mobile app. Jay joined Accenture in 2015 as an Aerospace & Defense Technology Analyst before being promoted to a Consultant role. In 2017, they became a Product Manager at Kespry, where they helped develop and market their aerial intelligence platform. In 2018, Jay Mulakala joined DroneDeploy, initially as an Enterprise Sales Engineer and subsequently progressing to the positions of Manager, Sr. Manager, and ultimately, the Director of Solutions Engineering. In 2020, they added another role as a Leadership Member at PreSales Collective, where they aim to elevate the role of PreSales professionals globally.

Jay Mulakala has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. They also pursued Nuclear Engineering Research at Universidad Pontificia Comillas in 2013 and worked as an Aerospace Engineering Intern at ISAE-SUPAERO in 2012. Jay has obtained additional certifications, including CORe in Business Administration and Management from Harvard Business School Online, SELI BlackBelt Alumni and SELI BrownBelt Alumni certifications from The SE Leadership Institute (SELI), Selling for Impact Certification from Winning by Design, Value Based Selling certification from PreSales Collective, DroneDeploy Certified Pilot certification from DroneDeploy, and Part 107 certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
