Matt Webster

Matt Webster has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Matt currently works at DroneShield as the Design Engineering Lead, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to this role, they were a Senior Industrial Designer at DroneShield from January 2023 to June 2023, and an Industrial Designer from September 2020 to January 2023.

Before joining DroneShield, Matt worked as an Industrial Designer at Design Edge, Industrial Design Consultants from October 2017 to September 2020. Matt also had a brief stint as an Industrial Designer at rare Shopagear from February 2017 to October 2017, where they specialized in retail display design and collaborated with manufacturers.

Matt's earlier experiences include working as an Industrial Design Assistant at McDermott Baxter from October 2014 to May 2017, where they contributed to the design and manufacture of light fixtures. Matt also owned a business in the electrical industry as a Business Owner/Electrician at Create Innovate Pty Ltd from November 2011 to May 2017. Prior to their career in design and electrical work, Matt worked as an Industrial Electrician at RJB Electrical Engineering from November 2010 to November 2011. Matt also has experience in the outdoor industry, having worked as a Snow Maker at NZSki Ltd from May to October in both 2010 and 2006.

Matt Webster completed a Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design (HON) from the University of Technology Sydney from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Systems Electrician from TAFE NSW from 2005 to 2008.
