Andreas Lamprecht

Vice President, Systems Engineering at DroneUp

Andreas Lamprecht has a diverse work experience spanning across several companies and roles.

Andreas is currently serving as the Vice President of Systems Engineering at DroneUp since December 2021.

Previously, they worked at AirMap from 2017 to 2021, where they held multiple positions including Geschäftsführer of AirMap Deutschland GmbH, CTO, and Deputy CTO & Head of Technical Partnerships. In these roles, they were responsible for various aspects of product development, standardization, partnerships, and regulatory approval in the field of airspace management for drones.

From 2018 to 2021, they were also a Director on the Board of Dronecode, a US-based non-profit organization that supports open-source drone technologies.

Prior to their work at AirMap and Dronecode, Andreas worked at Audi AG as Tech-Strategy Location-Based Services and as an Engineer in Predevelopment. Andreas also served as an Intern and conducted their PhD research at Technische Universität München.

Additionally, they had an internship at Volkswagen Group of America, Electronics Research Lab.

Throughout their career, Andreas has been involved in strategic projects, M&A activities, and research related to location-based services, automotive services, autonomous driving, and drone technologies.

Andreas Lamprecht completed their undergraduate studies in Maschinenwesen at the Technical University of Munich from 2002 to 2008, earning a Diplom degree. Following this, they pursued their Ph.D. in Maschinenbau at the Technische Universität Chemnitz, completing their studies in 2016. In 2007-2008, they also attended Stanford University as an ME310-Alumni, focusing their studies on ME310 2008.
