Hemant Thakre is an experienced engineering leader currently overseeing the storage area at Dropbox since December 2019, leading multiple software engineering teams responsible for the design, building, and operation of Dropbox’s live-site storage systems. Prior to this role, Hemant served at Expedia Group from January 2013 to December 2019, where responsibilities included leading distributed cloud infrastructure and Site Reliability engineering teams, as well as managing a successful cloud migration to AWS. Hemant's career also includes significant roles at Synechron from December 2005 to January 2013, where leadership extended to platform and systems services across US and APAC regions. Hemant holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from the Institute Of Business Management and Research and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from Nagpur University.
