James Lawrence

James Lawrence is a Senior Software Engineer at Dropbox since October 2023, previously serving as a Software Development Engineer and Team Lead at Amazon from July 2017 to September 2022. At Amazon, James architected and optimized the global SSO and SSO Self-Service infrastructure, securing a patent for an IdP-initiated single sign-on solution and achieving significant reductions in integration cycle times. Additionally, James designed and scaled similar systems for Amazon's international marketplaces, realizing substantial efficiency improvements. Prior to Amazon, James was the founding team lead at MyQVO, where leadership in the Unity team helped develop the flagship game platform Arqade, garnering nearly 100,000 downloads shortly after its release. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, completed in May 2017.
