Khaled Sedky serves as the VP of Engineering at Dropbox since March 2025, overseeing Dropbox Core, including file, sync, and share functionalities. Prior to this role, Khaled was the General Manager and Vice President of R&D for VMware Tanzu from December 2021 to August 2024, leading engineering and product initiatives for VMware's Kubernetes investments. Khaled's extensive experience at Amazon Web Services from October 2012 to December 2021 included managing teams focused on Amazon Machine Learning services and directing engineering for AWS Identity and Access Management, with a track record of building scalable foundational services. Khaled began a career at Microsoft, holding various leadership roles from November 1996 to October 2012, including Principal Director of Development in Application Virtualization and roles in SQL Server, Visual Studio, and Windows Vista. Khaled holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Cairo University.
