Yongheng Lin

Yongheng Lin is a skilled software engineer currently building machine learning infrastructure at Dropbox since October 2023. Previously, Yongheng served as a Staff Software Engineer at Bolt, where data infrastructure was developed from May 2021 to October 2023. Between July 2017 and May 2021, Yongheng worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Apple, focusing on backend systems, scalability, data engineering, and machine learning using tools such as Java, Spark, and Python. Prior experience includes a Data Scientist role at NORC from October 2012 to June 2017, leading analytical efforts and building data pipelines. Yongheng began the career as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago from June 2008 to August 2009, concentrating on computer vision research. Education includes a PhD candidacy in Econometrics & Data Mining at New York University, a Master’s in Statistics from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor’s in Economics & Computer Science from South China University of Technology.
