Shane W. has 13 years of work experience, beginning in 2003 as a Program Support Intern (GS-7) for the U.S. Department of Education. In 2004, they worked as a Marketing Intern for the U.S. Department of Commerce. In 2005, they were the Assistant Director of Admissions for Long Island University. From 2008 to 2021, they were employed by Educational Networks, first as a VP of Sales and Solutions Consultant, then as a Technical Support Manager. Currently, they are the Head of Customer Engagement and Special Projects for droppTV.

Shane W. completed a B.A. in Philosophy and Sociology from Fordham University between 1999 and 2003. Shane then went on to obtain an M.A. in Philosophy and Public Policy from American University between 2003 and 2005. In 2010, they obtained a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute, and in 2013, they received a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification from an Agile Project Management Methodology.
