Karl Falconer

Founder / CTO at DropStream

Karl Falconer has over 10 years of work experience. From 2001 to 2004, they worked at Fisher International as an IT Support, where they provided general user IT help desk support, kept inventory of all software and hardware, and built several desktop and server class computers. In 2006, they worked as a Development Intern at Meridium, where they worked on small and independent development teams implementing bug fixes and product features, and led a small team tasked with performance testing and analysis. From 2008 to 2009, they worked at RelayHealth as a Software Applications Engineer 2, where they implemented new features using an extensible message service used as data exchange between RelayHealth and its partners. In 2009, they worked at Nexidia as a Software Developer, where they quickly adapted to a non-traditional software development structure and created automated daily status reports. From 2010 to 2011, they worked at Falconer Development LLC as a Problem Solver - Independent Contractor. In 2011, they worked at Cardlytics, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they executed a wide range of development tasks and special projects, including performance profiling, code optimizations, and critical remote services. Karl also worked with management to develop technical screening process and mentored other developers one-on-one as well as organized group lunch and learns. Lastly, they were the Founder and CTO of DropStream from 2011 onwards.

Karl Falconer attended Virginia Tech from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
