Ben Stevens

Ben Stevens is a Quantitative Researcher at DRW since July 2021, following a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech, where the dissertation focused on machine learning applications in finite volume methods. Prior to this, Ben held positions at SpaceX, including Associate Engineer in the propulsion analysis group and Propulsion Intern, where responsibilities encompassed nonlinear thermal-structural analysis and structural analysis. Additional experience includes project work on a diesel fuel nozzle at Rose-Hulman Ventures, optimizing rocket engines at the University of Alabama, and research on shockwaves in compressible flows at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Ben also completed a systems engineering internship at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, studying telemetry data processes across various missions. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
