Mesfer Almesfer

Mesfer Almesfer is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at DSShield - DSS since 2025 and previously served as the Group Chief InfoSec Officer (CISO) at NEOM from 2018 to 2025. Almesfer has held key positions in various cybersecurity communities, including Co-Chair Governing Body Member for the Middle East CISO Community at Evanta, a Gartner Company (2022-2024) and Chairman of the Knowledge Community at the Global Cybersecurity Forum (2022-2024). Almesfer is also a member of the Global CISO Community at the World Economic Forum (2021-2024). Prior experience includes ICT Delivery Manager at Technology Control Co. (2012-2018), ICT Consultant at BAE Systems (2010-2012), Information Security Specialist at Saudi Telecom Company (2006-2010), Information Security Analyst at Lockheed Martin (2004-2006), and IT Systems Administrator at SAB (2003-2004). Almesfer holds executive education degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and has studied at INSEAD and IMD.
