Thorsten Langheim has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Thorsten started their career at J.P. Morgan in 1999 as a Vice President. From 2004 to 2009, they worked as a Managing Director at The Blackstone Group. In 2009, they joined Deutsche Telekom as the SVP of Global Group Development & Strategy and held this role until 2016 when they became the EVP of Group Corporate Development. In 2017, they joined DFMG Deutsche Funkturm GmbH as the Chairman. At the same time, they co-founded and became the Chairman of DTCP. In 2013, they served as a Non-Executive Board Member at T-Mobile. In 2014, they joined Scout24 Group as a Board Member until 2017. In 2015, they became an Aufsichtsratsmitglied at Deutsche Sporthilfe. Thorsten also held positions as Chairman at T-Mobile Nederland from 2017 to 2022 and Deutsche Telekom from 2019. Recently, they became an Aufsichtsratsmitglied at FC Bayern München in 2021.
Thorsten Langheim attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business from an unknown start year until 2015, earning a degree in Disruption, Design Thinking, and Decision Making. Prior to Stanford, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Securities, Investment, and Banking from the University of Reading in 1994. In the years 1991 to 1993, they studied at HSB Hochschule Bremen – City University of Applied Sciences, where they received a Diplom Betriebswirt degree in European Finance and Accounting. Additionally, they obtained a BA Hons. in European Finance and Accounting from Leeds Beckett University during the same time period.
