Rui P. currently serves as a Software Engineering Tech Lead at DTN since July 2025, leading efforts in Grain Discovery. Previously, Rui was an Engineering Manager and Developer at Grain Discovery from April 2020 to July 2025, focusing on mobile and backend development using technologies such as Flutter, Hyperledger Fabric, and Kubernetes. Additionally, Rui volunteered as an Event Organizer and Instructor with Google Developer Group Cloud Edmonton from June 2019 to May 2023. Experience also includes serving as a Blockchain Solution Developer/DevOps at Rewatt Power, where development of the CO/REC trading platform Ampere took place, and as a Web Application Developer at Pixel Blue College, contributing to education management systems. Early career experience includes a System Integrator Intern role at Connect Control Systems. Rui holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Control Systems from the University of Alberta, obtained in 2017.
