Anders Overgaard Bjarklev

Anders Overgaard Bjarklev has extensive experience in academia and leadership, currently serving as President and Professor at the Technical University of Denmark since October 1988. Anders Overgaard Bjarklev has held various positions including Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the same institution, along with serving as Provost from September 2010 to October 2011. Additionally, Anders Overgaard Bjarklev is a member of the Board at Teknologisk Institut and serves as Chairman of the Board at Virum Gymnasium since 2014. Membership in the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences (ATV) and serving as Chairman of the Danish Rectors’ Conference from September 2015 to August 2022 highlight further contributions to the field. Previously, Anders Overgaard Bjarklev directed DTU Fotonik from March 2003 to June 2010 and was a Visiting Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University in 1997. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering, both obtained from the Technical University of Denmark.
