Andreas Kongsgaard is a PhD student at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) since February 2023, focusing on the therapeutic implications of Human Endogenous Retroviruses (HERVs) in cancers. Prior to this role, Kongsgaard was a PhD student at Amsterdam UMC from November 2021 to December 2022 and served as a Medical Affairs Student Assistant at Johnson & Johnson's Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies in 2021. Kongsgaard also completed a Master's thesis at DTU Health Tech and gained experience as a Business Development Intern at Octarine and a Graduate Research Intern at Dorian Therapeutics, contributing to projects on aging and cellular lifespan. Additionally, Kongsgaard participated in the International Innovation Project, securing a fellowship with a Silicon Valley-based start-up. Kongsgaard holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biomedicine from the University of Copenhagen, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from DTU and experience as an exhibition pilot at Experimentarium.
