Andreas Mogensen is an accomplished astronaut selected by the European Space Agency as the first Danish astronaut in May 2009. Mogensen completed astronaut basic training at the European Astronaut Center from September 2009 to November 2010 and has held the position of adjunct lecturer at the Technical University of Denmark since March 2010. Prior experience includes roles as a research fellow at Surrey Space Center, where systems for lunar and Mars missions were analyzed and designed, and as an AOCS engineer at HE Space Operations, focusing on the SWARM mission. Additional experience includes research and teaching positions at the University of Texas at Austin, control systems engineering at Vestas, and logging services with Schlumberger. Mogensen holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.Eng. in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London.
