Esben Thormann

Esben Thormann is a Professor at DTU - Technical University of Denmark since June 2013, where Thormann currently serves as the Head of the Section for Physical Chemistry and has led the Group of Polymers and Functional Interfaces since 2013. Additionally, Thormann was the Head of the PhD school from 2023 to 2024. Prior to joining DTU, Thormann held various academic roles at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from October 2007 to 2013, including Professor MSO, Associate Professor, Docent, and Researcher. Thormann also worked as a Postdoc and PhD-student at the University of Southern Denmark from September 2003 to September 2007. Thormann’s education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Biophysics from Syddansk Universitet (2003-2006) and a Master of Science in Physics and Chemistry from Roskilde University (1996-2003). Furthermore, Thormann completed the Pasteur Program on Business and Innovation at Harvard Business School Executive Education from 2017 to 2018.
