Haiyan Ou currently serves as the group leader of Wide bandgap Semiconductor photonics (WISE Photonics) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) since May 2021. In addition, Haiyan Ou is the founder of Light Extraction, a startup established to enhance LED efficiency, and has held the position of Associate Professor at DTU Fotonik since August 2008, focusing on energy-efficient devices. Previous experience includes a JSPS fellowship at Meijo University for surface-plasmon enhanced light-emitting diodes and a significant tenure at COM.DTU, where Haiyan Ou worked as an associate professor and assistant professor in integrated optics, fiber optics, and nanomaterials. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in microelectronics and solid-state electronics from the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Science, and a Master's Degree in semiconductor devices and microelectronics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
