Michael Barfod

Michael Barfod is an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark since March 2016, specializing in traffic planning. Prior to this role, Michael held multiple positions at DTU Transport, including Assistant Professor, Scientific Assistant, and PhD student from January 2008 to February 2016. Michael's academic career began at the Technical University of Denmark as a Research Assistant from August 2006 to December 2007. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Traffic Planning obtained between 2008 and 2012 and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering completed from 1997 to 2006, both from DTU. Michael graduated from Frederikssund Gymnasium in 1997.
