Peter Bøggild

Peter Bøggild is a Professor at the Technical University of Denmark since February 1998, specializing in nanotechnology and nanomaterials, particularly graphene and other two-dimensional materials. Research focuses on synthesizing, transferring, and studying the electrical and optical properties of these materials, as well as creating atomically precise heterostructures to explore their unique properties. Previously, Peter served as an Associate Professor, concentrating on the large-scale production and practical applications of graphene, with an emphasis on growth, transfer, and integration with silicon technology. Additionally, Peter has been a blogger for Ingeniøren, Danish Engineering News, since January 2006, discussing micro- and nanotechnology topics. Prior writing experience includes contributions to the independent website MyMusic from September 2004 to September 2006, where Peter reviewed albums and concerts and covered music festivals. Peter holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Copenhagen, obtained in 1998, and an M.Sc. in Physics and Computer Science from Roskilde University, completed in 1995.
