Leader Of Control, Robotics, And Embodied AI Group

Roberto Galeazzi is a prominent academic and researcher at the Technical University of Denmark, where Roberto serves as the Leader of the Control, Robotics, and Embodied AI Group, Head of the Centre for Collaborative Autonomous Systems, and an Associate Professor in Automation and Control. With a robust background in nonlinear control and statistical change detection, Roberto has made significant contributions to the field, particularly in the motion control of manned and unmanned marine crafts and renewable energy harvesting systems. Notably, as a postdoctoral researcher, Roberto developed the PAROLL technology for early detection of parametric roll on ships, which was successfully licensed to Amarcon for integration into their monitoring systems. Roberto holds leadership positions in international committees in automatic control and marine systems, is a vice chair for the IEEE Denmark Section Joint Chapter, and serves as an Associate Editor for the journal Control Engineering Practice. Roberto’s academic credentials include a PhD in Automation from DTU and an MSc in Electronic Engineering from Università Politecnica delle Marche.
