Scott Jarmusch

Scott Jarmusch is an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) at DTU - Technical University of Denmark since December 2020, previously serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Uppsala University from October 2019 to December 2020, where the focus was on the identification of novel antimicrobial peptides. Prior experience includes a Ph.D. at the University of Aberdeen, specializing in chemistry with an emphasis on the isolation and structure elucidation of microbial peptides, and a Master's in Ancient History from the University of Liverpool, which involved research on ancient pharmacology. Early career roles included a Laboratory Technician at BASF, where expertise in data analysis and compliance with international guidelines was developed, and as an Assistant Proposal Development Specialist at UNC Greensboro. Scott also contributed as an Undergraduate Researcher at UNC Greensboro, engaging in bioactive compound screening and antimicrobial assays. Skills include statistical analysis, grant proposal evaluation, and extensive experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
