Thanassis Giannetsos

Thanassis Giannetsos is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of cybersecurity, currently holding the position of Deputy Head of Unit in the Digital Security & Trusted Computing Group at UBITECH since January 2021. Concurrently, Thanassis serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor and previously as an Assistant Professor in Cyber Security at the Technical University of Denmark since November 2018. Prior experience includes roles as an Assistant Professor in Secure Systems at the University of Surrey from December 2015 to October 2018, and as a Senior Researcher focusing on Networked Systems Security, Mobile Privacy, and Data Protection at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from April 2013 to November 2015. Educational credentials include a PhD in Security in Wireless Sensor Networks from Aalborg University, a Master's degree in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer & Communication Engineering from the University of Thessaly. Thanassis has significant research contributions, particularly in secure systems and cyber-physical environments, and has presented innovative findings at prominent conferences.
