Tomas Wikborg

Tomas Wikborg has extensive experience in technology transfer, commercialization, and product development within the biopharmaceutical sector. Currently serving as the Head of Patenting and Commercialization at DTU - Technical University of Denmark since June 2019, Tomas leads a team dedicated to translating high-level research into practical, socially beneficial innovations. Previous roles include Senior Business Development Manager at the same institution, Associate Manager at Novo Nordisk overseeing advanced insulin and GLP-1 products, and various managerial positions at H. Lundbeck A/S focusing on clinical process management and improvement. In earlier stages of the career, Tomas held project management roles at Pharmexa A/S and API development leadership at ALK Abelló. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biotechnology and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from DTU, complemented by further business management training.
