Basel al-Abed

Basel Al-Abed has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as Director of Cloud and Security Products, Data Center and Automation, and Transport Planning at du since January 2016. Prior roles at du include Senior Manager and Senior Engineer in IP Core from September 2005 to January 2015, and Advanced Network Services Engineer early in the career at EITC - du. Prior to du, Basel worked as a Network Engineer at Qatar Telecom and as an IT Engineer at Maunsell Australia Pty Ltd. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Studies from Southern Cross University, obtained between 1999 and 2001. Expertise encompasses MPLS solutions, network redundancy, data center design, and implementation of complex billing infrastructure.
