Daniel J. Weitzner is an advisor at Duality Technologies. Daniel was previously the co-founder of TrustLayers, Inc. from January 2014 to December 2018. Prior to that, they were the United States Deputy Chief Technology Officer for Internet Policy from March 2011 to August 2012. Daniel also served as a free speech professor at University in Bergen from January 2008 to December 2008. From September 1998 to September 2006, they were the Technology and Society Policy Director at the World Wide Web Consortium. Daniel is also the founder and deputy director of the Center for Democracy and Technology and the deputy policy director and senior staff counsel at the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
Daniel J. Weitzner completed their JD at Buffalo Law School and their Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Swarthmore College.
