Azad Abbasi-Ruby has a diverse background in various marketing and community management roles. Azad started their career as a Psychologist at Development Centers, Inc., where they gained insight into human behavior and communication. Following this, they worked as a Strategist at Ignite Social Media, where they developed social media strategies for the FIAT brand. Later, Azad co-founded and worked as a Copywriter at As It Were, a lifestyle blog focused on modern Detroit life. Azad then joined Ignite Social Media again as a Strategist and Manager, handling community management and content strategies for Fortune 500 brands. After that, they worked at Reverie as a Digital Engagement Manager, overseeing the company's social media landscape. Currently, Azad is serving as the User Insights Team Lead at DuckDuckGo.
