Ronny Shapiro

VP Engineering at Duda

Ronny Shapiro has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Ronny started their career as a Java Software Developer at the Israeli Air Force in 2004 and later became a Team Leader, managing a team of up to six developers. During this time, they were responsible for developing Java server-side software, designing architecture, administering application servers, and maintaining Oracle DB schemes.

In 2012, Ronny joined Duda, a responsive website builder, as a Software Engineer. Ronny quickly progressed to become a Java Server Side Team Leader, where they focused on server-side development, complex software design, and system architecture. Ronny also had the opportunity to work across the stack and deliver end-to-end products.

In 2017, Ronny took on the role of Fullstack Team Leader at Duda, leading multiple fullstack teams and contributing to the development process. In 2018, they were promoted to Director of R&D, where they led Duda's engineering teams and was responsible for delivery, quality, roadmap execution, and development process. The engineering department consisted of three fullstack teams, and Ronny ensured they developed with React.

Since October 2020, Ronny has been serving as the VP of Engineering at Duda, overseeing the engineering teams and continuing their responsibilities of delivery, quality, roadmap execution, and development process.

Ronny Shapiro earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from The Open University of Israel from 2006 to 2012.
