Vin Colgin

Vin Colgin has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Their most recent role was as a Software Engineering Manager at Duetto since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Knock® CRM as a Senior Software Engineering Manager from November 2019 to April 2022. In this role, they specialized in professional services, analytics, and CRM for the multi-family housing industry.

Before their role at Knock® CRM, Vin Colgin worked at BulletProof Software LLC as a Principal Software Engineer from September 2016 to October 2017. Their responsibilities included modernizing and decentralizing user-interface for server software and designing a modern Admin UI using React/ES6/Bootstrap.

They also worked at Accretive Technology Group as a Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead from April 2015 to September 2016. In this role, they led two Agile teams and contributed to the architecture, design, and direction of a video conferencing service. They also mentored and provided technical leadership to Scrum teams in the development of an advertising platform.

Before that, Vin Colgin worked again at BulletProof Software LLC as a Principal Software Engineer from August 2007 to April 2015. They developed and branded B2B and B2C software products, and their flagship software product required in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, memory management, and multithreaded processing. They also handled order processing and customer support using Amazon EC2 with LAMP instances.

Vin Colgin's career started at DigitalCandle, Inc. in August 2000. They were the founder of the company and successfully launched independently developed software. They also developed an e-commerce system for payment processing and order distribution.

Their earliest work experience was as a Software Engineer at Hollywood Entertainment from October 1992 to October 2000. They developed systems for a national video store chain, contributing to inventory management using Delphi/Pascal and C with Oracle/SQL.

Vin Colgin received a Certificate of Completion in Python from Code Fellows in 2019.
