Portsmouth Plant Manager at DUF6

Pete Coutts, Portsmouth Plant Manager, comes to the DUF6 project with 33 years of experience spanning nuclear facility operations, nuclear facility deactivation and decommissioning environmental remediation, and material stabilization/pre-treatment and disposition. Most recently, he has served as Director and Deactivation and Decommissioning Program Manager for Chicago Bridge and Iron (CB&I) at Humboldt Bay Nuclear Power Plant, a $280 million project with up to 350 employees.

Pete also served as Director of Operations at CB&I for its Western Region for Federal Projects, where he was responsible for turning around multiple troubled projects and enhancing project performance from the standpoint of cost, schedule, safety, compliance, and risk management.

Pete has extensive experience in other large projects as well, including roles as the Deputy Site Manager, Manager of Projects, and Operations Manager for the Paducah Remediation Services, LLC, a $450 million project with 900 employees, and the Deputy Director of FUSRAP (Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program) Programs, Program Manager for Buffalo District FUSRAP Sites, and other positions of increasing management responsibility for Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure.

Pete's combined past experience, leadership, and expertise will be vital to the success of the DUF6 Project and the Portsmouth facility.
