Håkon Åmdal has been working in the software engineering and data engineering fields since 2005. Håkon began their career as a Stock Clerk and Supervisor at Meny AS, where they were promoted to Supervisor in 2008. In the same year, they also took part in Nissan Cup, where they were the Timer Services Manager. In 2014, they took on an Intern role at Itera - MAKE A DIFFERENCE, where they developed an online car sales portal. From 2016 to 2018 they worked as a Data Engineer at Schibsted Media Group, where they collected, indexed, transformed, anonymized, enriched, and stored data from all of Schibsted's sites world wide. In 2018, they joined Spacemaker AI as a Software Engineer, where they built the Spacemaker AI task execution engine with Kubernetes and Cloud Pub/Sub, and also worked with building information model (BIM) IFC parsing. Since 2021, they have been working as a Software Engineer (Tech Lead) at Dune.
Håkon Åmdal's educational history includes a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2011 to 2016, a non-degree program in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota from 2014 to 2015, and a High School Program for specialization in science from Sandvika High School from 2006 to 2009.
