Adena Wright

Adena Wright has extensive work experience in the field of education and language instruction. Adena began their career as a freelancer on Upwork in 2014, working on various projects until 2016. In 2017, Adena worked as a Primary English Teacher at True Visions International School from June to August, and then as an English Teacher at Goldstone School of HOPE Worldwide from September 2017 to September 2018. Adena then transitioned to online tutoring, working as an English Tutor at Preply from January 2019 to July 2020, and as a Community Tutor at italki from December 2019 to January 2021. Most recently, Adena served as a Senior Quality Control Specialist on a contract basis at Duolingo starting in July 2020.

Adena Wright has a TEFL Certificate in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instructor, obtained from the International TEFL Academy (ITA) in 2017. Prior to that, they attended Grossmont College from 2013 to 2015, where they studied English Language and Literature, but did not obtain a degree. Before college, Adena Wright completed their General Education Development (GED) at Grossmont High School, where they graduated in 2013. In addition to their educational background, Adena Wright has also obtained additional certifications in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn in May 2021, and another TEFL certification from the International TEFL Academy in March 2017.
