Brett Blacker

Brett Blacker currently serves as the Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at Duolingo, a role commenced in January 2024, where the focus is on transforming language learning through innovative online platforms. Prior to this position, Brett held the CEO title at English Australia from August 2015 to January 2024 and served as President of the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA) from October 2014 to October 2015, having been a board member since 2006. Additional experience includes roles such as Director of International at The University of Newcastle, General Manager of Education and Student Assistance at Mondial Assistance, and National Business Development Manager at Mondial Assistance - OSHC Worldcare. Brett holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Management in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, both obtained from the University of Newcastle.
