Edward Fu

Edward Fu has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the legal and policy fields. Edward recently joined Duolingo in 2022 as the Head of Government Affairs. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2022, they served as the Director of Global Policy Development & Policy Counsel at Zipline. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Bird as the Senior Regulatory Counsel and Head of Policy. Before transitioning to the tech industry, they spent several years at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP as an Associate from 2011 to 2018, where they focused on persuading regulators and judges on behalf of clients. Edward also worked as a Summer Associate at the same firm in 2010. Edward began their career as a Research Assistant at New York University School of Law in 2009, working with Professor Arthur R. Miller. Edward gained early professional experience as a Columnist and Opinions Editor for The Daily Targum from 2006 to 2008.

Edward Fu earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Chemistry from Rutgers University in 2008. Edward then went on to attend New York University School of Law, where they received their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2011.
