James Y.

James Y. has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. James started working at Hickory Cardiology Associates in 2010 as an IT Project Manager. In 2013, they transitioned to Americki institut where they worked as a Teacher and School Director until 2017. In 2017, they joined Američki centar as Director and Teacher, and also founded the organization, working there until 2023. James Y. then moved on to Duolingo in 2021, initially serving as a Senior Quality Control Specialist before becoming the Asia-Pacific Team Lead. In 2022, they took on the role of Technology Specialist, which they continue to hold.

James Y. obtained their Bachelor's degree in Political Science from The Citadel, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained several certifications in various fields. These include "Python for Data Science, AI & Development" from IBM in March 2023, "Google Data Analytics" from Google in August 2022, "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" from LinkedIn in April 2021, and "Professional Front-End Web Developer" from W3Cx in July 2019.
