Jerry Lan has a diverse work experience. Jerry started their career as a Student Software Developer at the University of Maryland in February 2019. Jerry then worked as a Teaching Assistant from August 2019 to June 2020. During this time, they also participated in the Capital One Machine Learning research stream as a COML FIRE Summer Fellow, where they studied the creation of three-dimensional bounding boxes from monocular images.
From June 2020 to August 2021, Jerry worked as a Technology Intern at Capital One. Currently, since August 2022, they hold the position of Software Engineer I at Duolingo.
Jerry Lan attended West Chester East High School from 2014 to 2018. After completing high school, they enrolled at the University of Maryland in 2018 and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. Jerry is expected to finish their studies at the University of Maryland in 2022.
