Johnny Ye has a diverse range of work experience in various fields. Johnny started their career in 2018 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the National University of Singapore. In 2019, they worked as a Research Intern at the Department of Surgery, Prince of Wales Hospital, where they implemented a neural network for colorectal polyp detection and improved its performance using Python code. Johnny also worked as a Research Assistant at RiskLab, University of Toronto, and as a Research Student at the University Health Network during the same year. In 2020, Johnny joined Cash App as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern, where they worked on fraud detection models and developed a deep learning model for risk analysis. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Duolingo.
Johnny Ye attended Charles P. Allen High School, where they obtained their High School education and earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Following that, they enrolled in the University of Toronto and completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Engineering Science, specializing in Machine Intelligence.
