Strategic Finance Manager at Duolingo

Lyra Schweizer has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Lyra began their career as a Programme Intern at FAO in 2015. Lyra then co-founded and served as the Head of Strategic Partnerships at Eko Communications, Inc. from 2012 to 2017. In 2018, they worked as a Senior Consultant at 3Keel LLP. From 2019 to 2022, Lyra served as the Director of City Growth at Soofa, Inc, a company specializing in sustainable technology and design for cities. In 2022, they became a Venture Fellow at ZX Ventures, where they sourced deals, analyzed potential investments, conducted due diligence, and advised portfolio companies. Most recently, they joined Duolingo in 2022 as a Finance Intern before transitioning to the role of Strategic Finance Manager in 2023.

Lyra Schweizer began their education in 2008 at The Lawrenceville School, where they completed their high school studies from 2008 to 2012. Lyra then attended Princeton University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs in the period between 2012 and 2016. Following their undergraduate studies, Lyra further pursued their education at the University of Oxford from 2017 to 2018, where they acquired a Master of Science degree in Environmental Change and Management. Currently, they are enrolled at London Business School and is working towards earning their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which they are expected to complete between 2021 and 2023.
