Max Blaze has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles.

Max started their career at NCR Corporation in 2005 as a Corporate LAN Intern, where they installed and tested a VoIP system for a major event.

In 2006, Max joined the University of Pittsburgh Department of Environmental and Occupational Health as a Desktop Support Technician.

In 2007, they worked as a Customer Support Engineer at Compunetix and later as a Linux Support Engineer at TimeSys Corporation.

Max then transitioned to the University of Pittsburgh in 2009, taking on the role of Network Administrator.

In 2010, they joined M*Modal as a Software Support Engineer, Level III, and eventually progressed to become an Operations Engineer.

Max's most recent position is at Duolingo, where they started as a Staff Operations Engineer in 2014 and later advanced to the role of Senior Staff Operations Engineer in 2023.

Max Blaze completed their education at multiple institutions. From 2011 to 2015, they attended the University of Pittsburgh and earned a Certificate of Advanced Study in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance. Prior to that, they pursued a Masters of Science in Telecommunications at the University of Pittsburgh for the duration of 2006 to 2007. Before their time at the University of Pittsburgh, Max Blaze studied at Ohio University from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a focus on Telecommunications.
