Michelle Scully serves as the VP and Global Head of Communications at Duolingo since December 2025. Previously, Scully held the position of Global Head of Communications at Twitch from March 2024 to December 2025, overseeing storytelling for the creator community. Scully's experience includes being the Brand Communications Lead for Amazon Studios, where an integrated communications strategy was developed for significant events. Scully also worked at Amazon as the Head of Consumer Communications for Amazon Devices & Alexa, where brand communications and programming were innovated. Prior to that, Scully was a Senior Vice President at Edelman, managing global teams and significant client projects. Earlier career highlights include a role as a Senior Consultant at FleishmanHillard and a Marketing and Publications Officer in the Department of Education in Western Australia. Scully holds an MBA in Marketing/Management from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Film & Media Studies from the University of Alberta.
