Steven Ho

Steven Ho has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles in various companies. Steven started their career as a Youth Leader Intern at Rosemead Youth Leadership Center, where they supervised and taught low-income youths.

Steven then transitioned into the field of computer science, starting as a tutor and teaching assistant for UC Berkeley's computer architecture course, CS 61C. Steven eventually became the Head TA and later served as a lecturer for the same course, designing exams and overseeing teaching assistants, tutors, and lab assistants.

After their time at UC Berkeley, Steven worked at Affirm, Inc. as a Software Engineer, focusing on frontend development in Android (Kotlin). Steven contributed to user activity metrics, checkout pipeline improvements, referral programs, and personalized offers.

Following their role at Affirm, Steven joined Twitch as a Software Development Engineer. Steven worked on key Android features, such as mobile broadcasting and leaderboards, and integrated Amazon Prime Gaming sign-up flow into the app.

Steven currently holds the position of Software Engineer II at Duolingo.

Steven Ho attended San Gabriel High School from 2010 to 2014. After completing high school, they went on to pursue their Bachelor's Degree at the University of California, Berkeley. From 2014 to 2018, Steven studied Computer Science and Linguistics at UC Berkeley.
